ISO594/ISO80369-7 DUO-Marking/DUO-Calibration Service

The ISO 594/2 Reference Fittings are technically equivalent to ISO 80369-7 Reference Connectors; the ISO 594/1 are not. The ISO 594/1 Figure 3 Conical Gages can be used (and DUO-marked/certified) for ISO 80369-7, but do not test the full ISO 80369-7 product range so we advise against DUO-marking for the Gages. ISO 594 is Obsolete
ISO 80369-7:2016 cancels and replaces the first edition ISO 594-1:1986 and the second edition of ISO 594-2:1998, clauses, subclauses, tables, figures, and annexes of which have been consolidated and technically revised.

Lets get this out of the way right now...
Where ISO 594 speaks of Fittings; ISO 80369-7 calls them Connectors.

What do we do with ISO 594 Gages and Reference Connectors?
The good news is that the writers of ISO 80369-7 included most of the ISO 594 Reference Connectors in ISO 80369-7, but with different designations; see list below for conversion. The bad news is that all of your ISO 594 Gages and Reference Connectors are marked and certified to ISO 594 and not ISO 80369-7. We have a solution for that bad news.

Two Solutions:

Option 1
Buy all new Gauges and Reference Connectors made to the requirements of ISO 80369-7. In our greedy-profit-driven-mind we fully support this idea. All kidding aside, replacement of the ISO 594/1 gages and reference connectors with new ones made specifically for ISO 80369-7 is recommended.

Option 2
Avail yourself of our ISO-594/ISO-80369-7 DUO-Marking/DUO-Calibration Service. Gage Crib Worldwide Inc believes in helping the planet by recycling what can be easily recycled, and have been recycling thread gages since 1993. In this situation recycling the Gages and Reference Connectors is a simple matter of adding some marking and validating the calibration status of the Gages or Reference Connectors.

DUO-Marking/DUO-Calibration is offered for:
ISO 594/1 Fig 3a Ring Gage was eliminated. We can mark it ISO 80369-7, but we advise against it.
ISO 594/1 Fig 3b Ring Gauge was eliminated. We can mark it ISO 80369-7. Functionally identical, but technically not identical.
ISO 594/1 Fig 3c Plug Gage was eliminated. We can mark it ISO 80369-7, but we advise against it.
ISO 594/1 Fig 4 Reference Fitting is not the same as ISO 80369-7 Fig C.5 Reference Connector so DUO-mark/DUO-certify is not offered.
ISO 594/1 Fig 5 Reference Fitting is not the same as ISO 80369-7 Fig C.2 Reference Connector so DUO-mark/DUO-certify is not offered.

Once we receive the Gages and/or Reference Connectors and arrange the payment; it usually takes only 4 weeks to make the ISO-594/ISO-80369-7 DUO-Marking and DUO-Certification.The DUO-Certification will be accomplished by an ISO-17025 Registered Laboratory which has Medical Gages and Reference Fittings in its ISO 17025 Scope.

Notes About the Process
Once the Gages and Reference Connectors arrive in our building we will work with you to arrange the payment. Once the payment is completed the Gages and or Reference Connectors will be processed. The Gages and/or Reference Connectors will be marked before they are calibrated because the calibration must occur after all work on the tools is completed. Remarking the Gages and/or Reference Connectors is specific to each tool because of the availably of surface of the tool to apply the marking. In some cases the marking may need to be applied to a storage box instead of the tool. We do not take requests about where or how the Gage or Reference Connector is marked. You may request an unique serial number added to the Gage or Reference Connector (be sure to tag each Gage or Reference Connector to identify the additional marking requested), but limited space may make this additional marking impossible. Each Gage or Reference Connector presents its own challenges in this process. The Gage or Reference Connector may be too small to be DUO-Marked. The Gage and/or Reference Connector may have the marking added or may have all existing marking removed and be completely remarked. The Gage or Reference Connector may fail calibration. None of these conditions change the cost of our service.
