ENERSOL S15A CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY DEVICE for ISO 80369-20

Connector Assembly Device
The Enersol Connector Assembly Device (S15A) is the core equipment required for all of the ISO 80369-20 specified tests. The device is used to apply a force and torque simultaneously when connecting a reference connector with a test sample. The device can also be used to apply a specified force only or torque only, as required.

The Enersol connector assembly device is made from aluminum and hardened steel. The device has a durable and attractive anodized finish. The device has been designed to be compact and easy to use, with no other requirements like an electrical supply or compressed air, etc.

The Connector Assembly Device is an integral part of small bore connector (Luer, Neuraxial, Enteral), needle and syringe testing. It is used to assemble reference connectors to samples under test, and it is also used for the resistance to overriding test. It can also be used to assemble needle hubs with syringes for tests in ISO 8537. Known axial and side weights are required for preparation and testing of samples and these weights are supplied with the device.

The Connector Assembly Device is used for preparing samples for tests such as leakage by pressure decay, positive pressure liquid leakage, sub-atmospheric pressure air leakage, stress cracking, resistance to separation from unscrewing, resistance to overriding and disconnection by unscrewing.

Uses for the Connector Assembly Device (S15A)
The Enersol Connector Assembly Device (S15A) is used to for the assembly of a reference connector and test sample. It does so by applying a known force and torque simultaneously in accordance with the requirements of ISO 80369-20:2015. It is also used to apply a torque only, as required by the resistance to overriding test in ISO 80369-20:2015 Annex H.

Below is a list of tests which are best accomplished by using the Enersol Connector Assembly Device (S15A).

ISO 80369-20 Annex B through to Annex I

The S15A is used to assemble reference connectors with test samples for each and all of these annexes in the Small-bore connectors for liquids and gases in healthcare applications standard (ISO 80369-20). Reference connectors are required and sold separately. The following reference connectors are required:
