ENERSOL S16B Falling Drop Positive Pressure Liquid Leakage Tester for ISO 80369

For small-bore connectors and reservoir connectors

The Enersol S16B Falling Drop Liquid Leakage Tester is suitable for the Falling Drop Positive Pressure Liquid Leakage test method in:
ISO 80369-20 Annex C, and
ISO 18250-1: Annex C.

The S16B can be used to apply the pressures as per the requirements of:
ISO 80369-3,
ISO 80369-6,
ISO 80369-7,
ISO 18250-3, and
ISO 18250-8.

This includes the pressure in:
ISO 18250-1 clause 7.1.1, and
ISO 80369-20 Annex C.

Falling Drop Pressure Liquid Leakage Tester
The Enersol S16B Falling Drop Positive Pressure Liquid Leakage Device is compact and is sturdy and hard wearing. The Enersol S16B Falling Drop Positive Pressure Liquid Leakage Machine has an integral pressure gauge which comes with a calibration certificate. The Enersol S16B Falling Drop Pressure Liquid Leakage Tester requires the use a compressed air supply capable of delivering small amounts of air at pressures of 300kPa. Enersol can also supply the required compressor, on request.

The S16B is capable of applying the following Pressures, and conforms to the accuracy requirements of ISO 80369-20:

  • 50 kPa ± 10 kPa as per ISO 18250-1 Clause 7.1.1 and 50 kPa + 5 kPa / - 0 kPa as per Annex C.
  • Between 40 kPa and 60 kPa as per ISO 18250-3 Clause 6.2.
  • Between 50 kPa and 60 kPa as per ISO 18250-8 Clause 5.2.
  • Between 300 kPa and 330 kPa as per ISO 80369-3 Clause 6.1.3, ISO 80369-6 Clause 6.1.3 and ISO 80369-7 Clause 6.1.3.

Falling Drop Positive Pressure Liquid Leakage Tester Operation
Following Annex C of ISO 18250-1 or ISO 80369-20, as appropriate, the test sample is conditioned prior to testing. In a test environment suitable for the conditions in the standard, the sample is then prepared with the appropriate reference connector of the application standard. The Enersol S15B Connector Assembly Device and Enersol reference connectors can be used to connect the sample with the reference connector.

Water is then introduced into the connection and pressurised by the S16B equipment for the specified hold period. The user has control over the pressure to be applied by utilising the built-in controls on the S16B unit, and the supplied stopwatch to time the hold period.

Requirements:
Stable, level, bench-top.
Compressed air supply, min 400kPa, preferably oil-free
Supplied Battery for the air pressure gauge of the tester.

Supplied with:
S16B device, including test sample hose
Air regulator set including hoses
Stop watch
Operation manual
Certificate of calibration/Calibration report
Optional: Weights for ISO 7886/ISO 8537 tests, with Certificate of calibration/Calibration report

Other:
This tester is backwards compatible and can be used for the liquid leakage test of the ISO 594 series. It can also be used for the liquid leakage past piston/freedom from liquid leakage tests of the ISO 7886 series and ISO 8537, as well as liquid leakage past nozzle and needle hub assembly. The pressures in these standards vary, but are generally around 200 kPa or 300 kPa, based on the requirements of the standard. To carry out some of the tests on syringes sideways force weights are required and are supplied with the tester.
